Gainsbourg Has Surgery

Actress Charlotte Gainsbourg is "doing fine" and recovering from a brain hemorrhage in a Paris hospital, says her husband, Yvan Attal. She was taken to the Clinique Monceau in Paris, France late on Wednesday and was operated on by brain specialist Stephanie Delajoux. Late Wednesday, she was still in a coma, but out of danger. Delajoux says, "The operation went well and she is not at risk anymore." Gainsbourg had been suffering from headaches for several weeks following a waterskiing accident in the US last month. Thursday afternoon, Attal said his wife was improving. He said, "She is doing fine. I spoke to her, she replied and I kissed her. She is fine. It's not as bad as the media says it is.
